He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Kay and Beatrice M. Postle Kay; his wife Jennie Marie Kay; his son David Wayne Kay; and his granddaughter Michelle Bullard.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Clayton (Darrell) of Mamers, Daniel Kay (Pat) of Willis, Jimmy Kay of Sanford, Donny Kay (Beverly) of Asbury Community, William Kay (Amy) of Sanford, Beth Bullard (Julian) of Swann Station and Lindell Kay (Michelle) of Spring Hope, NC; and his brother John Kay of Salisbury, NC.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
