He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Atlas Gunter and Martha Mae Johnson Gunter; and his sister Joan Thomas Brooks. He is survived by: his sons, Norman Anthony "Tony" Gunter and Ryan Holloway Gunter; his siblings, Edward L. Gunter (Stella), Thelma Jean Coggins (Bobby) and Mary Gunter; his granddaughter Alexis Gunter; his great grandchild Xavier Gabe Colvin; his nieces and nephews, Carol "Neesie" Tarlowoh (Jacob), Johnsie Gunter Richardson (Justin), Eric C. Lassiter (Wendy), John T. Brooks and Vendell Daniel (Danny); his great-nephews, Donnell D. Lassiter (Shayla), Noah Jordan Brooks, Christian Lassiter, Aaron Petty and JT Brooks; his great-niece Layla Lyons; his niece Atlas Alexander Lassiter; his aunts, Mary Wood Hooker and Brenda Bright; and his close friend Mechell Farrar. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
