He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Angel and Samria Phillips Angel; his wife Peggy; his brother Waylon Angel; and his half-siblings, Sam Phillips, Jr., Wayne Phillips and Beth Phillips.
He is survived by: his caregiver Norman "Kevin" Angel (Crystal Evans) of Sanford; his daughters, Toni Angel Martin (John G. "Dickey") of Sanford and Sharon Angel Rideout of Dunn; his half-sister Gail Dean of Sanford; his grandchildren, Jonathan Martin (Christina) and Hannah Rideout; and his great grandchild Augustus Jonathan Martin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Grace Chapel Cemetery (2605 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Sanford, NC 27332).
