He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascom Haley Brett and Thelma Stancil Brett. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Brett of Sanford; and his children, Clifton Brett Jr. (Jerri), Christopher Brett (Diane) and Cathy Pardue of Topsail Beach. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
