It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martin E. Watson of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Reed Watson and Olive May Kent Watson; and his siblings, Leona, Leatha "Lisa", Albert "Babe", Edward "Ed", Katherine "Kay", Katheline "Marion" and Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his pet Mollie; and his children, Cynthia Major (Gary) of Rome, GA, Martin Watson II (Carol) of Dawsonville, GA, Kenneth Watson (Janice) of Millport, PA, Kevin Watson (Charlotte) of Sanford, NC and Cassandra Morey (Gregg) of Coudersport, PA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home (118 Union St, Shinglehouse, PA 16748). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marty's name may be made to Teacher's Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915; to the Oswayo Valley Senior Center, PO Box 671, Shinglehouse, PA 16748; or the Coudersport Senior Center, 165 Rte. 6 West, Coudersport, PA 16915.
