It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Gordon of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Gordon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Greeley Phillips and Bessie Sarah Phillips; and her siblings, Bill Phillips, Robert Phillips, Paul Phillips, Mack Phillips, Ted Phillips, Joe Phillips, John Lacy Phillips, Helen Maunder and Geneva Lovell.
She is survived by: her husband William Elvin Gordon; her children, Sonia Gordon Beasley (Wayne) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Scott Gordon of Rockingham, NC; and her grandchildren, Lacey Beasley, Courtney Beasley, Alyssa Parsons, Garrett Gordon, Jeremy Gordon and Ellie Gordon.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Sanford Church (2105 Pathway Dr, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Gulf Presbyterian Church (1253 Gulf Rd, Goldston, NC 27252).
