She was predeceased by: her parents, Toney Sellers and Hattie Sellers; her husband John H. Buie, Jr.; and her son Donnie Buie. She is survived by: her children, Vivian Ann Buie, Patricia Sellers of Sanford, NC, Kelby Buie (Sharyn) of Broadway, NC, Ricky Sellers (Sharon) of Sanford, NC and Ronnie Buie (Tonya) of Sanford, NC; and her siblings, Delois Mclaughlin (Lawrence) of Sanford, NC and Johnny Sellers (Sonya) of Siler City, NC. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (719 Wall St, Sanford, NC 27330). A wake was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Calvary Baptist Church (240 Fields Dr, Sanford, NC 27330). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Paradise AME Zion Church (495 Lloyd Stewart Rd, Broadway, NC 27505).
