She was predeceased by: her parents, Ransom Hughes and Grizzella Capps Hughes; her husband Robert Monroe Angel; her daughter-in-law Kathy Angel; and her siblings, Christine Norris, Nellie Bass, Irene Silver, R. H., Nelson, Talmadge and Bill Hughes.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Angel, Phyllis Watson (John) and Donna Westbrook; her grandchildren, Jacquelin Chance, Stephany Chance, Brian Angel, Mary Beth Wiltshire, Katherine Foster, Amie Thompson, Denise Davis, Melanie Quillen, Dennie Angel, Ashley Stirewalt, Rebecca Autry, Daniel Watson, Robby Westbrook and Betsy Westbrook; and her family Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church. She is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
