He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Pinnix and Rosa Enoch Pinnix; and his siblings, James Pinnix, William Pinnix, Lee Vernell Pinnix, Lessie Mae Pinnix, Sarah Mae Cook, Annie Jean Rivers and Sherdina Holt.
He is survived by: his wife Rena Pinnix; his children, Joseph Story of San Diego, California, Kimberly Pinnix of Burlington and Pamela Adkins (Tradell) of Sandford; his sisters, Nora P. Jordan of Burlington and Evanell Pinnix of Burlington; his grandchildren, Derrick Alston, Mya Ayele, Jaiquese Pinnix, Alethia Ingram, Amila Adkins and Joshua Manu-Story; and his great grandchildren, Zuri Ayele, Antonio Wilkerson and Foua Manu-Story. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
