He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack (Louise Hinson) and Louise; and his brother Ronald Hinson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hinson; his son John Hinson (Wendy) of Lexington; and his siblings, Dickie Hinson (Joyce) of St. Pauls, Jackie Merle Billings (Jeff) of Winson-Salem and Susan Jarman of Parkton.
