It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Floyd Bridges (Sanford, North Carolina), who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont Bridges and Zephia Ann Johnson Bridges; his wife Geraldine Matthews Bridges; his grandson Jonathan Thomas Bridges; and his brothers, Allen Ray Bridges and Ralph Leo Bridges.
He is survived by: his son Richard "Ricky" Avril Bridges (Cathy); his grandchildren, Jessica Anne Bridges Whitaker (Jarrett) and Jamie Lynne Bridges McElreath (Thadd); and his great grandchildren, Thomas Austin Whitaker, Caitlyn MaryAnne Bridges, Jude Avril McElreath, Meryl Annie McElreath, Abigail Jane Whitaker and Paisley Elizabeth Bridges.
