With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Thomas of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen Cotton and Mary Edna Harrington Cotton; her sons, Richard Scott Thomas and Charles Michael Thomas; and her siblings, Robert Cotton, Betty Cotten Hurley and Sammy Cotten.
She is survived by: her brothers, Bill Cotten (Shirley) and Steve Cotten (Emma); her sister-in-law Irene Cotten; her daughter-in-law Judy Thomas (Jimmie); and her granddaughters, Audrey Jo Stone (Bill) and Elizabeth Moore (Thomas). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
