He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert Hunter and Lenora Thomas Hunter; his son Michael "Mike" Alan Hunter; and his siblings, Charles Aubrey Hunter, John Claude Hunter and Pam Hunter Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Thomas Hunter; his sons, Ronnie Hunter (Karen) and Jeff Hunter (Renee); his sister Janice Long (Larry); and his grandchildren, Brandy of Sanford, Morgan of Sanford and Megan of Sanford.
