He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dempsey Dickens Sr. and Ruby Faucette Dickens; and his brother Ronald L. Dickens. He is survived by: his wife Ann Fulford Dickens; his children, Samuel Chad Dickens (Crystal) and Beth King (Ryan); his grandchildren, Samuel Dickens (Alison), Brittany Dickens, Chase King and Peyton King; and his sister Sharon Dickens. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
