He was predeceased by: his mother Helena Julianne Bowden; his adoptive father Bobby Frank Bowden; his father Herbert Carl Mertel; and his sister Elizabeth Wilhelmina Bowden. He is survived by: his sons, Dustin Bowden and Brandon Bowden; and his brothers, Frank Bowden, Henry Bowden and James Bowden.
