It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helga Müller Gunter of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakob Müller and Elizabeth Müller; her husband Thomas Clifton Gunter; her daughter Cindy Johnson of Wellford, SC; and her brothers, Rudi, Fred, Günther and Helmut Müller.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Mitchell (Mark) of Sanford and Tom Gunter of Pittsboro; her brother Manfred Muller (Ilka); her grandchildren, Brandi Shackelford (Josh), Jonathan Mitchell (Hayley), Lonnie Müller, Joshua Müller, Sabrinia Müller, Sebastian Müller, Mack Johnson, Jennifer Taylor and Shawn Johnson; and her close friend Alfreda Richardson. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
