He was predeceased by: his parents, Ayden Rhodes and Minder Richardson Rhodes; his son Joseph Brian Rhodes; and his siblings, Jerry Rhodes and Melba Doris Douglas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Dowd (Lee) of Sanford and Deeandra Chisenhall (Patrick) of Sanford; his brother Thomas Wayne of Clayton; and his great grandchild Miles McRae. He is also survived by his family and friends.
