With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gerald Dwayne Smith of Sanford, North Carolina, born in Tacoma, Washington, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gerald left this world on October 5, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Lillian Nelson Smith; his wife Esther Langley Smith; his daughter Beverly Buchanan; and his siblings, Dorothy Brown, Almon Smith and Leroy Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Bryant (Jeff) of Sanford; and his grandchildren, Ashley Buchanan, Britt Buchanan, Jeremy Holder and Haley Bryant. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lee Memory Gardens (2600 Hawkins Ave, Sanford, NC 27330).
