He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Eugene Whitaker and Ava Frances Allmond. He is survived by: his wife Denise Davis Whitaker; his children, Larry Clifford Whitaker (Stephanie) and Elizabeth Whitaker Collins (Sam); his grandchildren, Ansleigh Whitaker, Jase Whitaker, Pressly Collins and Parker Collins; his pet Bella; his siblings, Richard Benjamin Whitaker (Alice), Asa Michael Whitaker (Mitszi), David Gerald Whitaker, Cathy W. Howard (Keith), Johnny Eugene Whitaker (Deborah), Steven Douglas Allmond (Katherine) and Angela Cindy Allmond; and his parents-in-law, Diane Davis and Larry Davis (Cheryl). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Life Springs Church (3215 Keller-Andrews Rd, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Buffalo Cemetery (1333 Carthage St, Sanford, NC 27330).
