He was predeceased by: his son Larry Kelly; his siblings, Peggy Jean Kelly, Dwight Kelly and Phil Kelly; and his great grandchild Riley Rochelle.
He is survived by: his wife Betsy; his children, Cindy Buchanan (Craig) of Broadway, Jodee Rochelle of Holden Beach, Ryan Rochelle of Morehead City, Cody Rochelle of Roxboro, Sammy Ishmael and Ryker Rochelle; and his siblings, Richard Kelly (Carolyn) of Raleigh, Brooks Kelly (Pat) of Sanford, Carolyn Cummings of Sanford, Kay Kelly (Ronald) of Sanford and Anne Kelly of Sanford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
