Freda Dowdy Brafford Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Dowdy Brafford of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hezza Kie Dowdy and Almeria Frances Cox Dowdy; her husband George Lindley Brafford; and her siblings, Grace Mahone, Polly Harrington, Mabel Gunter, Hezza Kie Dowdy Jr., Maylor Brown, Herman Dowdy and Owen Dowdy.
She is survived by: her children, Janice B. Brown (Ron) of Sanford and Donald Brafford (Kristine) of Waxhaw, NC; her grandsons, Scott Brafford, Eric Brafford, Caleb Brown and Dylan Brown; and her brother Carson Dowdy (Dot) of Raleigh. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
