He was predeceased by: his parent Floyd Martin Chilton (Lillian Creed Chilton). He is survived by: his wife Janet Hardy Chilton; his children, Rhonda Kay Chilton and Anthony Keith Chilton (Tony); his siblings, Lois Chilton Underwood of Raleigh and Harold Madison Chilton of Greensboro; his niece Donna Underwood Reiter of Salter Path, NC; his nephew David Michael Underwood of Raleigh, NC; his sister-in-law Sandra Brown Sublett; his niece Kristin Lee Allen (Bryan Allen); and his great-niece Addisyn Allen (Addy).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church (4460 Lobelia Rd, Vass, NC 28394).
