He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Lopes Rego; and his wife May Rego. He is survived by: his children, Richard Rego of Rhode Island, Russell Rego (Mary) of Utah and Monica Downing (Steven) of Lillington; his siblings, Barbara Perras of Rhode Island and William Rego of Rhode Island; and his grandchildren, Kayla Ashley, Brandon O'Quinn, Lance Downing, Matt Rego and Amber Rego. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
