He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Evans and Elizabeth Evans (Cumbee); and his brothers, Donald and Terry. He is survived by: his wife Edith; his caregiver Edith Gay Evans; and his sons, Ernest Paul III, Anthony (Connie Shepherd), Robin Mitchell and Timothy Cumbee.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
