Though Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elaine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Myron Underwood Jr. and Jessamin Wilcox Underwood; and her husband David Groce Mann. She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth Mann White and Mark Wilcox Mann; and her brother Edgar Myron Underwood III (Martha).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gray Memorial Chapel (4378 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Buffalo Cemetery (1333 Carthage St, Sanford, NC 27330).
