He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Wimbley and Rosa McMillian Wimbley; his sister Pamela Jane Spruill; and his brother-in-law Willie Spruill. He is survived by: his son Keith Wimbley (Scotti); his grandchildren, Hope and Julian Wimbley; his siblings, Willie Frederick Wimbley (Janis), Cora Diann Owens (Jackie), Sandra Kay Patterson (Donald), Karen Jean Ray and Griggs Chandler Wimbley (Audrey); and his aunts, Remonia Spinks, Rev. Alice McMillian and Dorothy Pettiford. He is also survived by extended family composed of nieces, nephews, cousins.
