She is survived by: her stepfather Marlin Wayne; her siblings, Hazelene Dearman and Thomas; her nephew Marvin Jerome Lee; her husband Alvin "Doe" McLaughlin; her children, Calvin Terrell McLaughlin, Alvin "Duck" McLaughlin Jr. (Eyerusalem Woldu) and Wannda Faye Willet (William); her grandchild Shaleah; her goddaughter Shanella Mclean; her siblings, Marvin D. Lee (Pastor Deborah), Morris B. Lee (Desser), Minister Twanna Ferguson, Rosa Bethea (Percy), Yolanda Montgomery, Shirley Mitchel (Ken), Angela Stigler (Odell), Franklin Howard Jr., Melvin Davis (Coral), Willie Breece, Andrew Melvin (Caroline) and Andre Bob; and her close friends, Ann Cole and Annette Beasley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (719 Wall St, Sanford, NC 27330). A wake was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Union FWB Church (9415 Old US Hwy 421, Broadway, NC 27505). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the same location.
