It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lynn Starr of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvel Starr, Jr. and Juanita Mae Harkey Starr; and his sister Crystal Starr Garner. He is survived by: his wife Linda Williams Starr; his children, Brandon Starr (Mariryan) and Brieanna Starr; his siblings, Richard Starr (Norma), Rodney (Susie), Tony Starr (Rebecca), Gary Starr (Kim), Rita Kreusch, Patty Oakley (Buck) and Lisa Perry (Michael); and his grandchildren, Kennedy Ryan Starr, Ava Kathleen Starr and Easton McKinnley Starr.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Christian Church (23 Zion Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27330). A reception was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
