He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Lee Champion and Electa Wilson Starling. He is survived by: his son Brian Champion; his siblings, Virginia Smith of Sanford and Donald Ray Champion (Brenda) of Maryland; and his nephews, Pete Smith and Mark Smith.
