With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Tony Poindexter of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Romie Dallas and Mollie Underwood Poindexter; his wife Geneva Poindexter; and his sister Shirley Marsh. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Jones (Wayne) of West End and Dr. Keith Poindexter (Julie) of Carthage; his brother Richard Poindexter (Glenda) of Durham; and his grandchildren, Adam Jones (Kelly), Anthony Jones (Erin), Jessie Jones, Keilie Poindexter, Cody Jones, Dallas Poindexter, Lilia Jones, Camden Poindexter and Bella Jones. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
