He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Manley Kennedy and Elva Hunter Kennedy; his wife Ann Holder Kennedy; and his brother Robert "Bob" Kennedy. He is survived by: his children, Charla Kennedy Nance (David) of Sanford and Michael Kennedy (Ann Marie) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Jennifer Ashley (Jacob) of Sanford, Rebecca Manning (Jarrett) of Sanford, Savannah Kennedy of Asheville, Aiden Kennedy of Asheville and Declan Kennedy of Asheville; and his great grandchild Joshua Ashley.
