He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Emery Owens and Minnie Hutchin Owens; his wife Phyllis Louise Thomas Owens; and his daughters, Deborah O. Watson and Pamdoria O Davis.
He is survived by: his son Marty "Moose" Owens of Carthage; his sister Maryann Cummings; and his grandchildren, Austin Owens, Katelyn Owens, Mason Owens, Danny Gautier, Steven Gautier, Robin Rodriguez, Cecilia Holt and Stephanie Watson. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
