With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Lucille Hamer of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Sister Gwendolyn Miller of Chapel Hill, NC and Ricky Hamer; her grandchildren, Shawn McAuley, Tawonya Wiltshire, Antwon Hamer, Tiana Hamer and Jamal Miller (Nefertari); her siblings, John Wayne McAuley (Edith), William McAuley, Huey McAuley and Shirley McKeithan; her close friend John Henry McLean "PeeWee"; and her friend Ollie McIver.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Love Grove AME Zion Church (796 Love Grove Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27332). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the same location.
