With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alastair Delday Sutherland of Sanford, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander "Sandy" Millar Sutherland and Mary "Maisie" Robertson Sutherland; and his siblings, Heather and Keith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Latta Sutherland; his children, Carol Shinn, James Sutherland and Paul Sutherland; his grandchildren, Daniel Shinn (Karyn), Heather Taylor (Matt) and Elizabeth Riccio (Austin); his great grandchildren, Kendyll, Dawson, Maisie, Madilyn, Boone and Wilder; and his siblings, Glen (Marie), Craig (Margaret) and Hazel Schaeffer (Donald).
