It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Carter of Sandy Ridge, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Carter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Caleb Carter and Ada Carter; his wife Bobbie Carter; and his siblings, Hassell Carter, Gracie Kiger, Margaret Hawkins, Rachel Richardson and Nina Ziglar.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Shelton (Donald), Jerry Carter and Gary Carter; and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Kiger (David), Melissa Lowe (Derick) and Karen Holt (Bryan). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel (1020 Hope Beasley Rd, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
