With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Lewis Johnson of Sandy Ridge, North Carolina, born in Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Elmond Johnson and Sarah Irene Jones Johnson; and his brothers, Tommy and Johnny Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Gallimore Johnson; his children, Stephen Johnson Jr., Chuck Mitchell (Angie), Dana Hopper (Jason), Sarah Burnsworth (James), Michelle Holleman (Mark) and Candace Hendley (Al); his sisters, Linda Gallimore (Dale) and Cathy Starks (Walter); and his friend Frank Dutton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
