It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mike Bernard Carter (Sandy Ridge, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Billy Amos; his grandmother June; and his sister Alice Mae Carter. He is survived by: his mother Mary Alice Welch; his wife Teresa Forgay Carter; his son Michael Hickman (Laura); his grandson James Carter Hickman; his stepdaughter Shannon Forgay; his siblings, Dexter W. Welch, Jr., Travis Welch, Sharon Brown Craddock, Teresa Anderson, Fonda Welch and Tracy Welch Mills; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Nickelston (Donna). He is also survived by many nephews nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
