He was predeceased by: his parents, James Homer and Martha Belle Heath Glidewell; his wife Margie Steele Glidewell; his brother William Henry Glidewell; and his son-in-law Bobby Collins.
He is survived by: his children, James Dwan Glidewell (Heather), Michelle Spencer (Steven), Misty Collins and Kristy Glidewell Jones (Danny); his siblings, Robert "June" Glidewell (Iris), Joseph Arthur Glidewell (Joan) and Martha Jean Sattenfield; and his grandchildren, Jessica Yates, Brandi Glidewell, Aaron Rierson, Cheyenne Glidewell, Bailey Kerley, Cole Spencer, Breanna Collins, Addison Collins, Nathaniel Jones and Faith Jones. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
