She was predeceased by: her mother Virginia Ann; and her siblings, Penny Palacios, Judy Nelson-Starling and Randy Gentry. She is survived by: her father Calvin Thomas Nelson (Linda); her husband Nemorio Montes Chavez; her children, Ana Chavez (Cody), Rebeca Chavez, Jesus "Rudy" Chavez and Miguel Chavez; her siblings, Eugene Nelson (Teresa), Ricky Gentry (Annette) and Ruby Frances; and her grandchildren, Sofia Welch, Cody Smith, Gabriela Weatherford, Wyatt Bagley and Marley Smith.
