He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Gann Hawkins and Virginia Ruth Oakley Hawkins; and his brother Mike Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Rita Brown Hawkins (Rhonda); his son Todd Hawkins; his granddaughter Ashley Hiatt (Jeremy Hooker); his great grandchild Tyler Wood (Lily Jones); his great great grandchild Ryleigh Rose Wood; his brothers, Rudy Hawkins (Barbara), Mark Hawkins (Dale) and Max; and also Gary.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Delta Methodist Church (5984 North Carolina Hwy 704 E, Sandy Ridge, NC 27046). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
