She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mahlon and Ressie Elaine Shelton Wood; her husband John Ray Cheshire, Jr.; her siblings, James Marshall Wood, Peggy Ann Wood and Orene Ressie Joyce; and her niece Amy Jean Holcomb.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Darrell Dodson Winfree (Deborah Bingman), Marcus Kyle Winfree, Peggy Michelle Yauch (Glenn Marshall) and Jill Millette Wall (Clay Wall); her grandchildren, David, Kelly, Michael Cole, Dustin, Derek Winfree, Lindsay Yauch, Ryan Johnson, Corey Dalton and Caleb Shelton; her great grandchildren, Addelyn, Maddox Winfree, Mackenzy, Liam and Maverick Johnson; her sister Shelby Jean Joyce (Bobby Lee); and her nieces and nephews, Judy Taylor Davenport, Vincent Joyce, Dennis Joyce, David Joyce, Anthony Wood, Wanda Wood and Debbie Burgess.
