It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lafaye Chandler of Saluda, North Carolina, born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oleis and Nellie Pace Russell; her husband Bryan Maurice Chandler; her daughter Lt. Beverly Lynn Chandler; and her brother Jerry M. Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Frankie Jones (Michael) of Saluda, Jenifer Maybin (James) of Zirconia and Bryan Earl Chandler of Saluda; her grandchildren, Shane Hamilton (Emily), Mitzi Gunn (Jamie), Courtney McGlasson (Jared), Tiffany Orr (Brandon), Bryan Chandler, Lincoln Maybin and Landon Maybin; her great grandchildren, Wesley Gunn, Carson, Isaac, Brayden Orr, Jaxson Chandler and Paxton Hamilton; her siblings, Dawn Barnett, William H. Russell (Sheila) and Donald Russell (Regina); and also, Jack Hamilton, Rev. Carroll, Pat Poole, James "Pete", Phyllis Poole, Elaine Chasteen, Mike, Margie Atkins and Dee Carland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
