With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Walker of Saluda, North Carolina, born in Longview, Texas, who passed away on September 20, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Everett and Lilla Mae Walker; his siblings, Jim Walker (Marian) and Jimmie June Lewis; his father-in-law Tommy Manns; and his brother-in-law Ron Manns.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Manns Walker; his daughters, Dawn Walker Gee of Tryon, NC and Natalie Walker Blakeley (Daniel) of Prescott Valley, AZ.; his grandchildren, Brandon Gee (Camryn), Brian Gee, Drew Blakeley, Savannah Blakeley and John Blakeley; his mother-in-law Mae Manns of Hendersonville, NC; his brother Brett Walker (Martha Ann) of Longview, TX; his siblings-in-law, Gene Lewis (Mary) of Tyler, TX and Debbie Manns of Georgetown, TX; his children, Shelly Linville (Jeff) and Austin; his nephew Aaron Manns (Sarah); his children, Winters, Sidney and Andy Manns (Lola); his niece Amy Surko (Jack); and his children, Ainslee and John.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse, an organization very dear to Gil's heart for their many varied ministries here and around the world.
