He is survived by: his sons, David Smith of Zirconia, N. C. and Walter Smith (Christine) of Gilbert, AZ; his granddaughter Donna Kalesnick of Saluda, NC; his sisters, Natalie McCarthy of Lewiston, ME and Althea Willey of Auburn, ME.; and his grandsons, Robert Herman (Tansey) of Gastonia, N. C., Jeffery Smith of Gilbert Az and Jonathan Smith of Mesa Az. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
