She is survived by: her parent Sylvia Stamey Bates; her husband John Thomas Poole; her sons, Jacob Poole and Joseph Poole of Marietta; her grandsons, Samuel Poole and Christopher Raylan Atkins; and her siblings, Elaine Bayne (Eddie) of Taylors, Janet Barrett (Ronnie) of Travelers Rest, Rodney Bates of Greenville and John Shelton of Hawaii.
