He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Garland Smith and Lizzie Smith; his wife Peggy O'Neal Smith; his son William G. Smith III (Amy McDaniel Smith) of Salter Path; his granddaughter Amanda Leigh Savas (Perry James Savas) of Salter Path; and his great grandchild Sylvia James Savas.
