With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Barnett of Salter Path, North Carolina, born in Franklin, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 6, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Barnett, Sr. and Emily Barnett; and his brother Bill Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Faye Smith Barnett; his children, Jamie Horne (Richie) of Morehead City and Eddie Barnett (Judith) of Hillsborough; his stepson Ted Willis (Stan Williams) of Durham; his siblings, Joan Long of Garner and Herbert W. Barnett of Zebulon; and his grandchildren, Riley Horne (Becky) of Leland, Emily Kubacki (David) of Raleigh and Caroline Passaro (Peter) of Destin Beach, FL..
