It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wesley Walker (Salisbury, North Carolina), born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ethel Hayes Walker and Joseph B. Walker, Sr.; his brother Joseph B. Walker, Jr.; his wife Sondra; his children, Eric and April; his grandson Isaiah Wesley Walker; and his siblings, Wende Walker and Gerald Walker. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
He continuously provided stellar volunteer efforts with Groove Phi Groove, whether fund raising, giving donations to local university students, "adopt-a-road" cleanup efforts or by simply supporting the mission of the fellowship.
