He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Boler, Sr. and Elease Knight Boler; and his siblings, Silas Boler, Jr., Norva Boler, Lois Broadway and Barbara Caldwell.
He is survived by: his son Walter James Boler, Jr. (Walter) of Spencer; his sister Dorris Boler Phillips (Charles) of Durham; his significant other Dianne Ellis of Granite Quarry; his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Boler, Phyllis Shipp and Harold Broadway; his nieces and nephews, Tenecia Boler, Charrise Hollingsworth, Beverly Parker Boler, Quan Boler, Kion Phillips and Sean Shipp; his great-nieces, Ann Boler, Kathy Boler and Antoinette Ford; and his extended family, Ellis, Wiley and Barbara Brawley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shady Grove Baptist Church (600 S Long St, Salisbury, NC 28144). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
