It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wallace Claude Gaither Sr. of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jehu Gaither and Fannie Frick Gaither; his wife Betty Lingle Gaither; and his siblings, Diane Gaither Bassinger and Lawrence "Larry" J. Gaither.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Joan Gaither of Granite Quarry, Crystal Gaither Vanhoy (Rick) of China Grove and Gaither, Jr. (Lynne) of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Jaime Costantino (John), Courtney Garrett (Keith) and Hillary Absher (Travis); his great grandchildren, Payton Garrett, Leo Costantino and Tatum Absher; his sister Lillian Gaither Bruce (Darvin) of Greensboro; and his former wife Edith Galloway Gaither.
